British Land Kids Cricket League
In eight centres across Inner London, Capital Kids launched its biggest-ever British Land Kids Cricket League for primary schools during the week beginning Monday, January 14.
A total of 64 schools have entered the 2008 competition, staged over eight weeks with eight regional finalists qualifying for the grand final day at the MCC Indoor School at Lord’s Cricket Ground on Tuesday, March 11.

Week Three:
Lord’s: Rhyl, Camden, beat Essendine, Westminster, with walkover (Essendine staff sickness); St. Josephs, Westminster, 145-1(Jose 21*, Michael 21*) beat Carlton, Camden, 35 by 110 runs
Week Two:
Lord’s: Hampden Gurney, Westminster, 64-0 (Taylor Brown 23*, Nabil Haque 13*) beat Carlton, Camden, 63 by 8 wickets; Rhyl, Camden, 124-0 (Alvee 21*, Duaine 26*, Jordan 22*) beat Kentish Town, Camden, 97 by 27 runs
Hackney: Woodberry Down, Hackney, 115- 7 beat Nightingale school, Hackney, 82 by 33 runs; John of Jerusalem, Hackney, 51-3 beat Millfields School 50-6 by 5 wkts
Week One:
Lord’s: Gateway, Westminster, 48-2 (Hassan 22*, Imtiaz 1-11) beat Essendine, 45 (Leon 14, Marcus 2-9) by 5 wickets; Brackenbury, Hammersmith & Fulham, 105-3 (Ajay 22, Kainan 21, Michael 2-18) beat St Joseph’s, Westminster 94 (Sid 30, Jose 29, Louis 2-15, Harry 2-10) by 11 runs.
